PA
Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 August 2026 · Version 1.0
These Terms are the agreement between you and us about using PA. Please read section 5 — it is the one that could actually affect your afternoon.
1. Who we are
PA is operated by Mikalai Tarasevich, a natural person, currently operating as an individual developer.
Contact: support@parentapp.net
A company is being formed and is expected to take over PA in late 2026. When that happens, this page will name it. Your agreement, your account and your subscription carry over unchanged.
2. Who may use PA
You must be 18 or over to use PA. PA is an app for parents and carers. It is not designed for children, and it is not to be used by them.
You need a device running a supported version of iOS, and an internet connection. Places are only listed for cities we have actually covered — at launch, that is Warsaw.
3. Your account
Most of PA works without an account: the map, the list, the filters, search and “Meet in the middle” are all open.
You need an account to save a place and to use the AI assistant. You can create one with Apple, with Google, or with a sign-in link sent to your email address.
Keep your access to that email address and to those sign-in methods secure — anyone who has them can reach your account.
You can delete your account at any time, from inside the app, at Settings → Delete my account. Deletion is immediate and removes your saved places with it. It cannot be undone. You can keep using PA afterwards without an account.
4. Free and paid
The map, the categories and filters, search, place cards, “Meet in the middle” and “I need something right now” are free.
The AI assistant gives you a set number of free questions each calendar month once you have an account — currently five — and unlimited questions with a subscription. A day plan counts as one question. The number left is shown in the app.
4.1 What a subscription costs
At the date of these Terms, PA Premium is offered as:
- 24,99 zł per month, or
- 149,99 zł per year — the same thing at half the monthly price.
Prices are set for the Polish App Store. In other countries Apple converts them, and the price shown to you in the App Store before you confirm is the price that applies.
4.2 Free trial
Where a free trial is offered, it is a 3-day free trial on the monthly plan only. The yearly plan carries no trial — its standing 50% saving is the offer instead.
If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it becomes a paid monthly subscription at the price shown. Apple allows one introductory offer per subscription group per customer, ever — so taking the monthly trial uses yours up.
4.3 Billing, renewal and cancellation
- Apple bills you, not us. Payment is taken through your App Store account. We never see your card details and cannot charge, refund or discount you directly.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, unless you cancel.
- You cancel in the App Store, not in PA: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or through the shortcut in PA at Settings → Manage subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep what you paid for until the period ends.
- Refunds are Apple’s, under Apple’s own terms. If you believe you are owed one, request it from Apple. Write to us anyway if something went wrong — we would rather know.
- Your purchase is also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to every app bought from the App Store.
4.4 Your right to withdraw
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract for digital services. Because the subscription is bought from Apple and delivered immediately, that right is exercised through Apple’s refund process rather than through us. Nothing here takes away a right you have under the consumer law of the country you live in.
4.5 If we change the price or what is included
If we change a subscription price or materially reduce what a paid subscription includes, you will be told in advance and your existing subscription will not be silently repriced — Apple requires your explicit consent to a price increase before it takes effect.
5. Place information — please read this one
PA tells you what a place had when somebody last looked. It cannot tell you what it has today.
Place information comes from two sources, and the app marks which:
- ✓ checked by a parent — someone from PA went there and confirmed it. We record who checked and when.
- ○ from OpenStreetMap — an open map anyone can edit. It is usually right, but nobody from PA has confirmed it.
Cafés remove the changing table. Play corners close for a refit. Opening hours change for the summer. A place we checked in July can be wrong in October, and we will not always know.
So:
- Amenities, opening hours, addresses and photographs are provided in good faith and without any guarantee.
- If the trip is long and the amenity is the reason you are going, call ahead. We would rather tell you that than pretend to a certainty we do not have.
- Anything we do not have, we do not list. A blank is not a “no”.
Distances and travel times in PA are estimates in a straight line, adjusted for a typical detour. They are for comparing places against each other, not for planning to the minute, and they are not a route.
If you find something wrong, tell us at support@parentapp.net and we will fix it.
6. The AI assistant
The assistant is an AI, and PA labels its answers as such. It answers only from the places in our database — it is instructed never to invent one — but it is a language model, and it can still be wrong, incomplete, or out of date in the same ways section 5 describes.
Treat its answers as suggestions, not as advice. It gives no medical, safety, legal or financial advice, and nothing it says should be relied on as any of those.
Do not type names, addresses or personal details into it. It does not need them, and the app says so on the screen.
We may limit, suspend or withdraw the assistant — including changing how many free questions there are — if we have to, for example because of cost or provider availability. If we do that to a paid subscription, section 4.5 applies.
7. “I need something right now”, and the 112 button
This screen shows the nearest changing station from our own data, and hands you off to your maps app for a pharmacy or urgent care. Those handoffs use your maps provider’s data, not ours, and we do not check what it shows you.
The 112 button is a shortcut to your phone’s dialler. It is not an emergency service and it is not a medical service. It does nothing except place the call your phone would place anyway.
In an emergency, call the emergency services directly. Do not depend on PA, on your battery, on your signal, or on this app being installed. If the app is slow, closed, crashed or missing, dial 112 yourself.
8. “Meet in the middle”
If you enter a starting point for someone else, please only do it with their agreement. It is their information, not yours.
The whole calculation happens on your phone and none of those locations reach us — see the Privacy Policy, section 5.2.
9. Things you send us
If you send us a suggestion, a correction, a photograph or a report about a place — today that is by email — you keep everything you own in it, and you give us permission to use it in PA and in material about PA, free of charge and without a time limit.
By sending it you confirm that it is yours to send, that you have not copied it from somewhere else, and that any photograph is your own and contains no identifiable child.
We are not obliged to use, keep or publish anything you send, and we can remove it at any time.
10. What you may not do
Use PA normally, and none of this will apply to you. For completeness: do not copy the place database out of the app in bulk, scrape it, resell it, or feed it into another product; do not try to break, overload or work around the app’s limits, including the free-question limit; do not use PA to harass anyone or to collect information about other people; and do not use it for anything unlawful.
We can suspend or close an account that does these things.
11. Our content, and the maps under it
PA, its design, its text and its verified place database are ours. These Terms let you use the app; they do not give you ownership of anything in it.
Place data in PA is derived from OpenStreetMap and is used under the Open Database License (ODbL). © OpenStreetMap contributors — openstreetmap.org/copyright. Map display is provided by Google Maps under Google’s terms.
12. Our responsibility to you
We give you PA as it is, and we do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of mistakes.
We are responsible to you for loss we cause you that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for a business loss.
We do not limit or exclude our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit.
Nothing in these Terms takes away the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in, and where those rights conflict with something here, they win.
13. Ending this agreement
You can stop using PA and delete your account at any time (section 3). We can suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, or if we stop running PA — in which case we will give you as much notice as we reasonably can, and any subscription you have already paid for will be handled through Apple.
14. Changes to these Terms
We can change these Terms — for example when a feature changes or the law does. The date at the top says when they last changed. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect, and continuing to use PA after that means you accept it. If you do not, delete your account.
15. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Polish law, and the courts of Poland have jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your own country and you can bring a claim in your own country’s courts.
Before going anywhere near a court, please write to support@parentapp.net. Almost everything is a misunderstanding that one email fixes.
